July 4th 2010 Fireworks Display
At 5:15am, the light began to wash out the milky way and accompanying stars. The Valley of the Ten Peaks began to rise from the darkness and put on its morning performance. One of the great experiences in my life.
After catching the sunrise atop the Rockpile, I moved down to the canoe dock. A traditional shot done many times before, but I love it nonetheless. Moraine Lake should be a must see for any landscape photographer.
After visiting Moraine Lake in the morning, I took the long drive to Athabasca Falls in Jasper in hopes to catch a decent sunset. I could not have asked for a more brilliant pink and blue display. This is a 5 shot stitched pano.
This shot was taken at Two Jack Lake in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada around sunset. I lucked out because the lake was hit by winds all day until the late evening. I was able to capture the still lake as the sunlight hit the crest of the peaks.
